About us:
The original cafe, Miss Moody’s, was named after the last owner of Moody’s Gunshop who ran a traditional English Tea Room both before and after the Second World War.
Today we continue that tradition in Miss Moody’s Tea Room; which has relocated to The Cafe at King John’s House, 13 Church Street, after the fire in Tudor Cottage February 2025.
Visitors enjoy the old-fashioned pleasure of traditional bone-china teacups as well as the delights of homemade cakes, and scones.
We also offer service at tables outside, in a picturesque Victorian garden, which are open during the Spring and Summer months.
